主讲嘉宾简介：

Simon is a Senior Lecturer in Microbiology and Bioanalytical Chemistry at Queen’s University Belfast, joining in 2019 from Imperial College London. He was worked for over 10 years in the development of high-throughput mass spectrometry techniques for the analysis of clinical, food, and biological samples. His team at Queen’s University Belfast continues to develop these techniques and, alongside conventional mass spectrometry, apply them to applications in microbiology and biological systems. As well as his research, Simon is the Director of Postgraduate Taught Education within the School of Biological Sciences where he oversees the delivery of 9 MSc programmes. He is also the Academic-in-Residence at the UK's National Measurement Laboratory where he advises on organic mass spectrometry.
